Viber: your own bot
DMWire connects a Viber bot you own. Your agent answers the people who subscribed to the bot.
Connect a bot
Create a bot in the Viber admin panel, if you do not have one, and copy its authentication token. Ask your agent to "connect my Viber bot" with it, or call connect_viber:
curl -X POST https://api.dmwire.ai/v1/channels/viber \
-H "X-API-Key: $DMWIRE_API_KEY" -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"auth_token":"..."}'DMWire checks the token with Viber and registers its webhook on the bot itself, so there is nothing to paste anywhere. The token is never returned. The answer carries bot_id, the id get_viber_status, verify_viber_webhook and disconnect_viber take.
get_viber_status shows the stored state; with live=true it checks the bot with Viber first. webhook_ok: false means the bot's webhook no longer points at DMWire (for example after another tool took the bot over), so new messages stop. verify_viber_webhook registers the webhook on the bot again.
Sending
- Viber only lets a bot message people subscribed to it. Your agent answers those people, addressed by
to.viber_user_id(from their inbound message) orto.contact_id. - Someone who never wrote to the bot is refused with
needs_inbound_first(409). Someone who unsubscribed is refused withnot_a_follower(409) until they write again.
