# DMWire Docs > DMWire connects an AI agent you already use (Claude, Claude Code, OpenClaw, Cursor, Codex or any MCP client) to your own WhatsApp and Telegram, so the agent can read and answer your messages. It is a hosted MCP server at https://mcp.dmwire.ai/mcp and a REST API at https://api.dmwire.ai/v1. DMWire runs no AI of its own. Status: early access, invite only; LinkedIn and Instagram are planned, not live. Every example in these docs was run against the live service and shows the real response. No prices are published yet. ## Get started - [DMWire Docs: connect Claude, OpenClaw and other AI agents to WhatsApp and Telegram](https://docs.dmwire.ai/): How to connect Claude, Claude Code, OpenClaw, Cursor or Codex to your own WhatsApp and Telegram with DMWire, a hosted MCP server. Setup per agent, limits, tools and API. Early access. - [Quickstart: connect your AI agent to WhatsApp or Telegram in 3 steps](https://docs.dmwire.ai/quickstart/): Connect Claude, Claude Code, OpenClaw, Cursor or Codex to your own WhatsApp or Telegram with DMWire in three steps and no code: add the connector, link your account, ask your agent to reply. - [DMWire early access status: what works today and what is planned](https://docs.dmwire.ai/early-access/): DMWire is in early access and invite only. What works today (WhatsApp, Telegram, MCP server, REST API, webhooks), the free early access limits, and what is planned (LinkedIn, Instagram, sign in, dashboard). ## Connect your agent - [Connect Claude to WhatsApp and Telegram (Claude desktop and claude.ai)](https://docs.dmwire.ai/agents/claude/): Add DMWire to Claude desktop or claude.ai as a custom connector with your API key in a request header, or through the desktop config file. Which plans can do it today, step by step. - [Connect Claude Code to WhatsApp and Telegram (DMWire MCP setup)](https://docs.dmwire.ai/agents/claude-code/): Add the DMWire MCP server to Claude Code with one command, check the connection with claude mcp get, and let Claude Code read and answer your WhatsApp and Telegram messages. Tested on a real install. - [Connect OpenClaw to WhatsApp and Telegram with the DMWire MCP server](https://docs.dmwire.ai/agents/openclaw/): Add DMWire to OpenClaw as a remote MCP server (streamable HTTP with an X-API-Key header) so your OpenClaw agent can read and answer WhatsApp and Telegram messages. Config and checks. - [Connect Cursor to WhatsApp and Telegram (DMWire MCP in mcp.json)](https://docs.dmwire.ai/agents/cursor/): Add the DMWire MCP server to Cursor through ~/.cursor/mcp.json with your API key in a header read from an environment variable. Config, check and first prompt. - [Connect Codex to WhatsApp and Telegram (DMWire MCP for the Codex CLI, IDE and app)](https://docs.dmwire.ai/agents/codex/): Add DMWire to Codex with codex mcp add and a bearer token read from an environment variable. Works for the Codex CLI, the IDE extension and the desktop app, which share one config. - [ChatGPT and other MCP clients with DMWire: what works today](https://docs.dmwire.ai/agents/chatgpt-and-other-clients/): Can ChatGPT use DMWire for WhatsApp and Telegram? Not yet: ChatGPT custom connectors sign in with OAuth or no auth, and DMWire needs an API key. How any other MCP client connects, with real requests. ## Channels - [WhatsApp MCP: connect your own WhatsApp number to Claude or OpenClaw (limits and safety)](https://docs.dmwire.ai/channels/whatsapp/): How DMWire links your own WhatsApp number to an AI agent by QR code or pairing code, the daily limits and warm up, what DMWire refuses, and how to keep the number from being banned. Real connect responses. - [Telegram MCP: connect your own Telegram account to Claude or OpenClaw (not a bot)](https://docs.dmwire.ai/channels/telegram/): How DMWire logs your own Telegram account in for your AI agent with a login code or QR code and two-step verification, what the agent can send, the limits, and how Telegram's own spam limits apply. Real responses. - [LinkedIn MCP for AI agents (planned): DMWire LinkedIn messaging](https://docs.dmwire.ai/channels/linkedin/): LinkedIn on DMWire is planned and not live yet. What it will do for your AI agent, the conservative pacing it will use, and how to hear when it opens. - [Instagram MCP for AI agents (planned): DMWire Instagram DMs](https://docs.dmwire.ai/channels/instagram/): Instagram DMs on DMWire are planned and not live yet. What it will do for your AI agent, why it opens later than the other apps, and how to hear when it does. ## How it works - [How your AI agent hears new WhatsApp and Telegram messages (wait_for_messages explained)](https://docs.dmwire.ai/receiving-messages/): wait_for_messages explained in plain words: your agent asks DMWire to wait until someone writes, gets the new messages and a bookmark, and asks again. Timeouts, the cursor, limits, and a real call. - [DMWire limits and account safety: daily caps, warm up and refusal codes](https://docs.dmwire.ai/limits/): Every limit DMWire enforces on WhatsApp and Telegram sends: daily caps, new contact caps, the WhatsApp warm up, the loop guard, the opener burst stop, STOP replies, and the exact error codes your agent gets back. - [DMWire acceptable use: what your AI agent may and may not do on WhatsApp and Telegram](https://docs.dmwire.ai/acceptable-use/): What DMWire may be used for and what not: answering people who wrote to you is fine, bulk messages to strangers and purchased lists are not. Your agent, your account, the apps' own rules. ## Reference - [DMWire MCP tools reference: send_message, wait_for_messages, connect_whatsapp and more](https://docs.dmwire.ai/reference/mcp-tools/): Every tool the DMWire MCP server at mcp.dmwire.ai offers your AI agent, with its arguments, read from the live tools/list: messages, WhatsApp and Telegram accounts, usage and webhooks. - [DMWire REST API reference: send and receive WhatsApp and Telegram messages over HTTPS](https://docs.dmwire.ai/reference/api/): The DMWire REST API at api.dmwire.ai/v1, generated from the live OpenAPI document: messages, long poll for new messages, WhatsApp and Telegram connections, usage and webhooks, with real requests and responses. - [DMWire webhooks: WhatsApp and Telegram message events, payloads and signature verification](https://docs.dmwire.ai/reference/webhooks/): DMWire webhook events for WhatsApp and Telegram (message.received, message.sent, delivered, read, failed, account events), the real payloads and headers, and how to verify the HMAC signature in Python and Node. ## Help - [DMWire FAQ: WhatsApp and Telegram for Claude, OpenClaw and other AI agents](https://docs.dmwire.ai/faq/): Answers about DMWire: does it work with Claude and ChatGPT, will my WhatsApp number get banned, do I need to code, what are the limits, is LinkedIn available, what does it cost, and where my messages go. ## Optional - [Full text of every page](https://docs.dmwire.ai/llms-full.txt) - [OpenAPI document](https://api.dmwire.ai/v1/docs/openapi.yaml) - [Home page](https://dmwire.ai/)
